Helping your downlines when you are down .

Hello guys , I am Lester .

I have not post any post in this blog for sometime because of some personal problems but I hope you enjoyed the Quote Of The Day being posted in this blog daily , without fail . :]

Ok , Today we are going to talk about helping your business partner get their business up when you are not in a favourable situation , yourself .

Getting someone to trust you , when you are not doing as great as what you have been preaching about is certainly not going to bring you anywhere .
It might be because of procrastination , or financial problems , family etc .

Do not worry as I have prepared a list of short information to help you identify your problems .

Here it goes ... 

Before you begin , I would like to ask for your unbiased attention .
Focus on what should be done , do it and settle your problems . Be A Champion !

First of all , you have to take a day out , relaxed . Maybe go to starbucks or somewhere nice and quiet with drinks and food available easily .

Then you identify your problems ,

Identify your problems in this six areas in your life , which basically fills up your life .

  • Appearance
  • Health
  • Spiritual
  • Relationship
  • Financial
  • Personality/Character *

Appearance :

Ever heard of this saying , "First impression last ." ?

Many people are not aware of their personal actions , that will cause the others to think badly of them .
For example , digging nose , spitting anyhow , littering , body odour , talking loudly , the way one walks etc are going to be bad for your image .

But of course , this is not all that contributes to your impression and how people perceive you .

The other factor is dressing . I believe I have mention about this before , dressing makes a man , fine or a fine man .

So if you are a business man , you should dress like one .

Health :

A healthy person is a wise person , or not .

Health is one of the most important aspect in a person's life .
Other things in life pales in comparison to health .

Many people do not realise the importance of having a healthy body , until they get into seriously deep trouble with their body .

And regret often becomes a very commonly felt feeling , the others always have .

Spiritual :

Spiritual life is something that makes a man ,  full . 

Yes , literally full , inside .

Ever heard a man say , they are feeling empty ? And that it feels like a void in their heart that cannot be filled up , no matter what they do about it . Career , Enjoyment , Fun , Money etc

This is when God comes in to fill up one's void .  

Relationship :

Recently , I have read a quote that goes something like this ,
"We are living in the era of building relationship with people ."

Well , its very true . Just too true .

But of course relationship does not only mean , making friends with people , meeting up with strangers and becoming acquaintances etc , NO .

Relationship also consist of family ties , relatives , neighbours , people around your environment (eg , school , work place , churches etc .)

Financial :

Everyone most probably have experienced rainy days in our lives concerning money .

A phrase well put though I do not agree with it goes like this , "Money makes the world go round ."

This type of thinking , is only for those who are seeking to fill up the void inside .
(Definitely , in my own opinion .)

Some people , leave bills lying around in the house , car , study room when they have the ability to pay them , do not seek to reducing the amount of money they own the others .
But instead , continue to contribute stress on them every month and not seek to clear it up , ends up staling the bills and causing them to turn into debts when they finally do not have the ability to clear them up .

Make sure you are not this type of people . Another name for this people is , Procrastinator .
(Spelled with a capital letter P .)

Personality / Character :

What is the difference between personality and character ?

Character is your inner self while your personality is a mask . - Author Unknown .

Its always good to set timings for self checks .

Are you still the same person you are years ago ? Upholding to your values , like Honesty and Integrity ?

And how well are you when you are with people ? Popular person and extroverted person ? Or are you now a nasty being ?

How you are inside and outside must match , in order for you to hold your head up high and sit up with your spine straight and declare yourself truely successful at something .

What you should do . 

Have a piece of paper and a workable pen .

Write down one aspect and do a quick check with the help of the information above and identify your problems and then jot them down .

After you are done , continue to the second aspect and so on and so forth .

After you have finished identifying your problems in life , you should proceed to settling the problems you have identified .

Solving problems ~ 

Before you begin , gather your people and let them know that you are facing some difficulties in life and that you are seeking to solve this problems in life as because you see that they are going to hinder your success and your life . 
So you would like to have their fullest support as they walk together with you together to solve the problems you are facing . 

(It does not matter how many people you can gather around you , but the most important thing is to gather those people that matters .)

OK and now you may begin . 

Prioritise your problems . List them out and number them . 

Number one , being the most urgent matter that should be settled and Number - to be the least urgent matter . And now begin to solve them . 

Note : Once you have identified your problems and written them on the aspects columns , they are considered of important matters , just too important that is why you have decided to catergorise them under the individual aspects . 

And you should seek to solve all the problems listed in the list .

If you seek to solve people's problems , you should first be able to solve your own , otherwise how can you convince the others to trust in you ? Is not it ?

What to do after a sales/prospecting interview ends

What would you normally do after a sales interview end ?
Or after you have met your potential "business partner to be" ?

Not sure if anyone of you have this thought , but I do know people who feel this way .
And I see this as part of their journey in the sales trade .

But before we start , take 5 to 10 minutes out , get a workable pen and a A4 size paper .
Jot down the questions and write down what your reactions will be to the following situations .

  1. A client who is not interested in your products . 
  2. A client who keeps wandering off his attention to else where when you talk to them . 
  3. A client who did not buy your product . 
  4. What do you normally (NORMALLY) DO after the sales interview end . 
And also 

  1. What would you do if you are cold calling or talking to your prospects face to face and they reject you and told you that they are not interested ? 
  2. The prospect who keeps wandering their attention away from you . 
  3. A "potential prospect" who did not join you in your business . 
  4. And what would you normally do after the prospecting process , and after you each went home . 

Keep that piece of paper , yes , in a file , folder wherever it may be that is easily reached by you and will be kept safe from water , dust and dirt and from being destroyed . 
As we will be talking about it in my next blog post . 

So now , allow me to draw your attention to the topic title . 

What to do after a sales/prospecting interview ends 

What would you normally do ? Let it pass by ? Move on to your next prospect in mind ? 

This is yet , another crucial point in the sales trade , Network Marketing , that will make sure you either succeed or fail . 

What I would do . 

Follow up 

This is a very important aspect . Many people fail to do follow ups . Follow up is a service , its is such an important service that will make your clients feel , "Uh ~ I thought that I got scammed . Luckily he assured me by calling me . He's a very good salesperson and a friend ." 

Why do you need to do follow ups ? 
Follow ups are done to ensure that your clients will still want to contact you , and not feel that they are just buying from you just because they pity you . 
And that the action of answering your call and chatting with you about the product you sold them is a very vital point because it means that they are very interested in your product and would like to talk more about it . And in the future , you might just earn yourself another business partner !

(*One very important point to note)
It does not matter if your client bought your product or not , neither does it matter if your prospect joined your business or not . The most important thing in following up your client/prospect is that you would want to make them feel at home . That you are still friends even though if they did not buy or join your products or you , respectively . 
But if they do buy from you , then that's great ! Do your regular follow ups . Remember to call them up , send them an email , and follow up with them . 

What to do when you are calling them ? 

Talk about anything else but the product/business plan . Have a short chat , ask them how they are , what they are doing , and wait for them to ask you about your products/business plan . If they did buy from you/join your business , ask them how was it , how do they find it . Good ? 
Have a short and moderate chat that will end in about 10 minutes , because you would want to let them rest and ponder about how good your service is . 
But if they do not buy/join from/you , fret not . Have a light hearted chat . Ask them how was their day , and just pop up the question when they feel comfortable talking to you . "Just being curious , how  do you find my product/business plan ?" 
Remember , keep it brief and light hearted . Keep your opinions to yourself and listen to what your prospect have to say . 

Well , occasionally (normally) you will have clients or prospects that will try to talk you out of your business venture by telling you , that is hard , it is a scam , no one will buy from you etc . 
Do not be disheartened , stand firm on your ground , keep smiling and remain positive no matter what happens . Keep the conversation short to at most 10 mins , remember . 

Remember to do this with LOVE . Your clients/prospect will feel it and they love it . 

Well , this is something you would definitely want to do to ensure your clients would stand behind you and support you . 

Network Marketing is all about promoting products you believe that will benefit people around you , and that they would need . 

Just like the very famous plastic containers company , Tupperware . 

What do you think about it ? Do you think we really need to use Tupperware ? Many people's views might differ . Some would actually buy it because it is eye catching and so with a little push , they will immediately get their money ready to buy from the seller . 
And not many who buys it will say , "Hey , I got scammed ."
Because they knew they needed containers for their food , storage etc , but they would rather buy a Tupperware product because it is more eye catching and more beautiful , colourful etc . 
But , in their mind , all they are thinking about is , "I'll need this , I'll need that ." Which they do not really need . 

So promote your products in such a way that they will see the need in the product , But make sure you are selling something that will really benefit the others , otherwise you would not succeed in this trade , or get your sales up high for long .

It is actually the same thing for sales and anything else in the world ! It is all about duplication , duplicate , practice , understand and use .

In the world of sales , it is about it too .

Just like you , who is a duplication of your ancestors , and till it reaches your parents your bloodline are being modified many times over to become better at it
( at what ? I do not know either )

When you duplicate what the successfuls' do , you are bound to become better at what you are doing and maybe even after understanding you might come up with another way of doing things , solving problems etc .

Motivating your team for all to benefit .

Motivating your team is no hard work at all .

It should not be done just because one wants results from their teammates so that they can rise through the ranks , and not care about how difficult it is for their teammates .

Here , I have arranged a few good (tested and proven) ideas on how to bond your team together .

But before we begin , you would want to read the check list I have prepared for you below .

  1. Work has never been less tedious until now . First of all , before you would like to start , watch out for those who are demotivators . They are very skilled at bringing your teamwork down without you noticing , and when you finally realised (or you realised it long ago , but waited till now then you started taking actions) it might all be too late . So watch out for this people , bring them to the corner( not to fight !) and have a good talk with them . 
  2. How much will do you have to succeed ? And how do you want to succeed ? By stepping on others backs and leaping onto another level ? (Well , that way you are going to fall very hard because when you finally can't hold on to the edge anymore , no one is going to cushion you when you fall , all of them are gone) So , plan in such a way that will not make you selfishly benefit from it all . 
  3. Show them love . No joke ! If you love your downlines and care for them like your life , you will be sure they will work together with you like there is no tomorrow . But of course , you need to pick the good ones to start with you your business  otherwise no matter how much love , they are also unmovable . 
  4. Look out for bad relationship strains . Some in the team might not like A or what he is doing , get those people out , have a good chat and settle things on the spot . Why should business partners dislike each other or bear grudges . Right ? It is definitely bad for your team and definitely bad for you . 

So now we are done with the four checks . Here are a few good tips you will definitely want to use to bond your team together , in order for you and your downlines to earn big bucks together . 

  • Outings , every month , after sales month closes , have fun and forget about work .
  • reflections , after having fun , gather together to reflect , maybe catch a motivating movie . After , reflect on what you have learnt and share it(get your team mates to reflect together) . A suggestion is that the director who is leading the crowd to come out and share about the new goals for the new month and whats up for the new month ahead . 
  • dinner/lunch , arrange a meetup every twice a week (preferred) for a short dinner and after get together to AMS . 
  • AMS session , at least once a week together at the office .  Meet up at office and doing warm calling(cold calling , warmth up your clients / prospects when you call , a technique I'll shall pretty soon) .
  • Holidays (for people who hit their target), go for a holiday trip every quarterly . Go out , have fun for a week , when you and our team return to work , all of you will definitely smile from ear to ear with all that memory . And this will automatically help improve on the relationship and bonding of the team . For those who hit their target , preferably , as because this will firstly , motivate those who did not hit the target and secondly , those who hit their target will be able to afford what the expenses , while those who did not might have a little problem . 
  • Holidays (for everyone , no matter if they hit their target or not)  to relax and have fun , and to take a break from work so that the mind will be refreshed and when they are back to work , they will be energized and ready to fight for the new sales month . (every four months , for a real short holiday as oppose to the holiday for those who hit their target) 
  • Interest Do you and your teammates have a common interest ? Lets say , Snooker or soccer ? Motivate them with that by saying "Lets hit the quota we have set for ourselves this month and we can play snooker all day long for the whole week at A Pool Centre !" Material motivations are very good source of motivation because you are able to target what they want to get in life . And what we want in life are often tagged with very expensive price tags . 

Well this are just a short list of tested and proven ways to motivate people . In terms of what they need and want . It is not hard , it just requires you to be able to think logically and know and to do what that is right and not to do what that is wrong .
